Splitty’s Handcrafts

Splitty’s Handcrafts- Our Story

In the spring of 2019 I took a MIG welding course while wintering in Arizona. Returning to Canada I started out making home and yard decor from discarded car parts, horseshoes, vintage blow torches, sheet metal and rebar. As my art evolved I began to focus more on abstract metal art.

Thanks for visiting!
Splitty’s Handcrafts Is based in Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada. Going forward Splitty’s will be fully committed to undertaking custom work. I have found that aspect of my metal art to be the most rewarding. Working closely with clients to develop and finalize a design that meets their needs is where I want to be,

Although I will still have some finished pieces for sale I will focus my efforts and marketing on custom work. Although I have art pieces available in my store Splitty’s Handcrafts is mostly interested in taking on custom work. Doing custom pieces provides me an opportunity to be creative while ensuring my client’s needs are fully met.
Splitty’s has completed custom metal art projects for clients in Saskatchewan, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Florida and California. Just completed a three panel piece for the Red River Exhibition Association in Winnipeg. The panels will be installed in a park there. See the main picture on this website.

Customer Feedback

Barbara, California - Communication with the seller was very good. I’m very happy with the quality of the sculpture.Michelle, Saskatchewan - “Made the product I requested. Done super quickly, arrived quickly and was exactly what I expected.”
Jose, Florida - “Great communication with the seller and great item for the price. Will do business again. Thank you.”
Cathleen, Ontario - “Love it. Just as presented”
Barry, Saskatchewan - “ Ron made a cat tail cluster for our yard.  Very creative and well done! Can’t wait to put it out in the spring!
Bonnie, Ontario - We are very happy with the metal art piece we commissioned from Ron of Splitty's Handcrafts.  The piece was for above our very modern fireplace which is surrounded by rustic antiques.  We have somewhat eclectic tastes but our aim is Canadiana meets Industrial.  Ron's piece helps pull it all together with our other art and finishes the room nicely.   The piece is very well made and unique which is what we wanted.  Ron is a pleasure to work with.  He is very conscientious and worked hard to meet/include the elements we suggested.  He provided a good "mockup" so we could visualize the piece before starting.  He was also honest about what he felt would (and would not) work but left the decisions up to us.  His production/delivery was very timely and he was extremely careful about the packaging so the item arrived in perfect condition.  It took months of searching for the right piece both online and off, so I was excited to find Ron's work on Etsy and Kijiji.   Would definitely recommend Splitty's Handcrafts and hope we can work together on a project with Ron again.
